Forgetting

Fergus the Aardvark needs to remember to forget, so we have sat him down in the St Stephen's Church café and left him reading, 'The Book of Idle Pleasures'. The first line reads:

"Sometimes we need to release our mental burden and just say to ourselves: forget it."

Eureka member, David, is always up for a laugh, so when Ernie asked him to pose for a shot on the gardens above Castle Mall Shopping Centre in central Norwich, he went for it as usual.

Fire Breathing!

Eureka member, Julia, just sent me these images accompanied by the following message:

"We had an amazing time at the Norwich Castle museum 'night at the museum' event on Saturday 16th May, which culminated with fire breathers!!! Just fantastic!"

Four Years To The Day!

On this day four years ago Eureka Wellbeing Photography was launched. It was, to be honest, a quiet start. Like many community groups, in the initial period we had our ups and downs. However, here we are four years later with a loyal membership who - in the words of our mantra - continue to, 'find wonder as we wander.' 

Some Places Never Cease To Give

I went for a wander around Norwich Cathedral yesterday. With the sun still relatively low this time of year, the light was crystaline and filled the nave. I have taken my camera to this wonderful building on many occasions, but it never ceases to give. I approached the copper font, formerly a vat for toffee from Rolos relocated from the old Rowntree Mackingtosh factory in the city. As I got nearer, my eyes were drawn to the reflection of the great west window floating dreamily on the surface of the baptismal water. That is what you see above.
